The Finance & Insurance Manager is the dedicated F&I lead for Hutch Chevrolet GMC, responsible for securing financing and protecting gross profit on every vehicle sale. This role controls the sale from deal structure through delivery, ensuring every customer receives a fair, transparent, and compliant finance experience. The F&I Manager builds strong lender relationships, drives product penetration, and works closely with the sales team to ensure every deal is completed accurately, ethically, and on time.

Compensation$65,000 - $75,000 base per year plus commission tied to F&I product penetration and income.
Purpose StatementServe as the dedicated Finance & Insurance Manager for Hutch Chevrolet GMC, securing financing and protecting gross profit on every vehicle sale while delivering a fair, transparent, and compliant finance experience. This role builds strong lender relationships, drives F&I product penetration, and ensures every deal is completed accurately, ethically, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Secure financing and insurance for every vehicle sale, working with a variety of finance sources, including the manufacturer, to convert cash deals to finance and ensure every sold vehicle is delivered
  • Protect dealership gross profit by structuring finance and lease deals accurately and fairly, and driving penetration of F&I products such as credit insurance, vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, and maintenance plans
  • Manage all paperwork related to vehicle sales and financing: obtain customer signatures, secure payoff and insurance information, and verify titles, liens, and tax information before forwarding to accounting
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, local, and manufacturer regulations affecting new and used vehicle sales and financing; maintain current state insurance licensure and required continuing education
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with finance sources and insurance providers so multiple, competitive options are always available to customers
  • Provide customers with clear, complete explanations of financing options, insurance products, and dealership service procedures and policies
  • Train and support the sales team on the benefits of financing, insurance, and extended service programs, and keep sales managers current on finance and lease program offerings
  • Coordinate finance forecasting with the sales department to achieve target penetration and income levels; prepare and present finance penetration reports
  • Ensure timely collection of all finance and insurance fees; take credit applications and handle rate quotations
  • Maintain an adequate, current supply of contracts and paperwork, and keep insurance files organized and up to date
  • Supervise and train a designated backup to maintain continuity and profitability in the F&I office at all times
  • Conduct business in an ethical, professional, and customer-focused manner; maintain a clean, professional appearance and work environment
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Performance Expectations
  • Meet or exceed F&I product penetration and per-vehicle income (PVR) targets
  • Maintain strong finance and lease approval rates while protecting deal profitability
  • Ensure full compliance with lending, insurance, and regulatory requirements on every deal
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready deal paperwork and titling documentation
  • Support strong customer satisfaction (CSI) scores related to the finance and delivery process
  • Maintain current state insurance licensure and complete required continuing education
Required Skills
  • Strong product knowledge of financing, insurance, and vehicle protection products
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with customers, lenders, and the sales team
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment in structuring deals
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing contracts and compliance paperwork
  • Ability to train and coach sales staff on finance and insurance product benefits
  • Proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, the dealership's F&I and DMS systems
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in business or finance a plus
  • Prior F&I, automotive sales, or financial services experience preferred
  • AFIP certification preferred, or ability to obtain within a defined period after hire
  • Current state insurance license, or ability to obtain
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced dealership environment
Physical RequirementsThis role is primarily office-based, requiring extended periods at a desk to complete paperwork and meet with customers, with occasional movement around the dealership and vehicle lot.
